Green Dog Rescue Project

INSPIRE CHANGE | EDUCATE | SAVE LIVES

IMG_1443.JPG

As the United States first predominantly NON-Kennel Shelter Facility,

Green Dog Rescue Project proves that change is good

one rescue dog at a time.

In 2011, a dog named Cash was facing certain death in a local shelter. His advocate, certified trainer and Master Chef Douglas Keane of Cyrus Restaurant, began a legal campaign to save his life and asked for help from Colleen Combs. Out of dedication for helping dogs like Cash get a second chance, Green Dog Rescue Project was born.

Learn the story of GDRP Co-Founder and Executive Director, Colleen Combs, as she tells the harrowing story of how her dog literally took a bullet for her after she was held at gunpoint by an intruder.

Follow the road to recovery of dogs who were brought to our rescue from a hoarding situation in Chowchilla, and watch how we intake new dogs as well as how our Director approaches fear-aggressive dogs.
