Our Green Dog volunteer community is reinventing the shelter model, one person at a time.
Our rescue relies on volunteers to make everything we do possible. From fostering, providing transportation from shelters, fundraising at events and taking our dogs out on walks, our volunteers do it all. We have plenty of unique positions available so you can find your true calling at Green Dog Rescue Project.

We believe that our youth is the next generation of leaders in animal welfare.
To empower greater change in the way we care for animals, we have an active Junior Volunteer Program for youth ages 10 through high school seniors. Our goal is to educate these juniors about various aspects of dog rescue, as well as the future of dog rescue. We also strive to elevate their understanding of dog behavior through learning about the language of dogs.
To participate in this program, juniors need to attend a twenty minute orientation where they will learn about GDRP and ways they can help with hands-on opportunities, such as, walking, brushing, teaching basic commands as well as helping out during adoption events.
In addition to our Junior Volunteer program, we offer opportunities for local students to complete community service hours. During the summer months, we also offer a hands-on day camp program. See details below.
